purchase for yourself or your family.
Access Dental is a dental insurance company that was founded in Sacramento, California in 1989. Their dental
Plan and services are offered within the state of California through more than 2000 dental contracted dental
offices and company offices primarily situated in Sacramento valley. Their individual dental plan for basic level
of coverage costs 75 dollars per year, while their individual & one dependant plan costs 115 dollars per year;
family dental plans costs 150 dollars per year. All their dental plans feature no charge for dental exams for one
full year, no maximum coverage limit (in dollars) per year, and no deductibles.
Some limitations of the plan are: all fees are based on services rendered by a dentist from Access Dental,
dispensed drugs and general anesthesia is excluded, as is the replacement of dentures that were lost or bridgework,
service in the individual plan are offered only at the access dental centers. Covered services that have no charge
are oral diagnosis, dental office visits, recall exams, sedative base admissions in restorative dentistry or liners
is prosthodontic care. All services under diagnostic and preventative care have co-payments that are less than 90
dollars.
In the state of Indiana, Delta Dental PPO is offered as one of three of Deltas national network programs. In
this dental insurance plan, dentists do not charge more than what is agreed in Deltas network regulations. Coverage
in this plan is categorized in 4 classes. The first class which includes diagnostic and preventative services,
palliative treatment, and sealants, is 100 percent catered for in the plan. The second class covers oral surgery,
endodontic services, periodontal services, minor restorative services e.g. fillings, relines and repairs, and
single crowns, are paid for up to a maximum of 80 percent of the total cost. The third class covers prosthodontic
services – replacing missing natural teeth, and major restorative procedures up to a maximum of 60 percent of the
total costs. The final class covers orthodontic services for example braces up to a maximum of 60 percent of the
total cost. The maximum payment cover per year on classes 1 through 3 inclusive is 1000 dollars. Class 4 procedures
have a maximum cover amount of 1125 dollars. In addition there is a 50 dollars deductible per insurable year for
individuals, and a 150 dollars deductible amount for families on all plans regardless of the class.
